Lead Electrician

Job Description:
Layout and install electrical systems which include low and high voltage direct current equipment, as well as low voltage alternating current equipment. Must be a skilled “master” level electrician who is capable of installing and terminating both power and control systems with only general supervision. Has verifiable experience, preferably in either railroad or industrial applications. Experience in wiring diesel locomotives is preferred, but alternate experience in heavy industrial construction will be considered. Candidates for this position should be proficient in applying the National Electric Code.
The individual who fills this position must be highly motivated and seeking the opportunity to lead an electrical crew whose primary task is to install the electrical equipment, raceway and wiring systems for large off-road equipment.

Education/Certification:
An associate degree in industrial electricity is preferred, but satisfactory experience may be substituted for education.

Characteristics:
This person has a positive attitude towards accomplishing established goals. The person must desire to work as part of the team. The individual effectively and efficiently coordinates the electrical fabrication effort with other trades. This person is able to communicate well with engineering and production management in order to deliver quality work every time, on time, and on budget. The individual who fills this position understands how to plan and prioritize his work according to company needs, adapting to changing priorities easily.
